Working toohard, denying that there are problems, ignoring symptoms,and feeling distrustful are all signs of overcompensation ordenial. Some behavioral signs of stress are avoiding things, doingthings to extremes, administrative problems, and legalproblems. Avoiding things includes keeping to ones self,avoidin g work, having trouble pass judgment responsibility, andneglecting responsibility. Examples of doing things toextremes are alcoholism, gambling, spending sprees, andsexual promiscuity.
